SafetyMark Aqua Safe Non-Abrasive Anti-Slip Tape (AQS) is engineered specifically for wet and barefoot environments where grip and comfort are equally important. Constructed from embossed flexible PVC that is manipulated to give a rubber-like feel, the smooth, non-abrasive surface provides reliable slip resistance without irritating bare skin – making it ideal for pools, showers, and water parks.

Aqua Safe vs. Coarse Resilient – Which Should I Choose?
Both tapes look similar and share a non-abrasive, waterproof, skin-friendly surface, but they feel different underfoot and are built for different levels of demand:
- Aqua Safe (this product): A thinner (0.71mm), more plastic-feeling standard non-abrasive tape. It offers dependable everyday slip resistance at a lower price point, and is the most economical choice for light-to-moderate barefoot traffic.
- Coarse Resilient (MK2): A thicker (1.3mm), R10-rated tape with a noticeably softer, more rubber-cushioned surface and higher wet traction. Choose Coarse Resilient for more demanding, higher-traffic, or high-slip-risk areas where maximum grip and cushioning are worth the higher price.
If customers report they want more grip or cushion than Aqua Safe provides, Coarse Resilient (MK2) is the recommended upgrade.
Please note: Aqua Safe cannot be applied underwater or to wet surfaces; the surface must be clean and dry at the time of application.
