Product Description
The cleanroom, kitchen, and curved-surface choice
SafetyMark Lean Coarse Resilient (CR_LEAN) is a thinner 0.028" version of our Coarse Resilient family, developed for applications that need the same 95/60 TRL slip performance without the thickness of MK2 or MK3. It's more flexible, more conformable to curves and uneven surfaces, and the low profile is preferred in cleanrooms, food preparation areas, and back-of-house spaces where product carts and pallet jacks roll over marked traffic paths.
When to specify Lean CR
Lean CR is the answer to "we love MK2 but it's too thick." At 0.028" it's roughly half the applied thickness of standard Coarse Resilient, so it sits lower, flexes around curves, and doesn't create the small ridge that a 0.05" tape can. Same non-abrasive skin-friendly finish, same slip certification, same waterproof-once-cured behavior. In cleanroom corridors and food-prep areas where hygiene rules require flush, wipeable surfaces, Lean CR is the preferred spec.
Family comparison
- MK2 — softer rubber-like feel; barefoot and pet friendly (SKU CR2N, P759).
- MK3 — firmer film with sharper embossed pattern for wet, dirty, or icy environments.
- Thick CR (TCR) — 0.078" thick for recessed stair-nose channels.
- Lean CR — 0.028" thin and flexible for cleanrooms, kitchens, and curved surfaces.
All four share 95 TRL dry / 60 TRL wet slip rating, R10, NFSI High-Traction certification, waterproof after cure, and a non-abrasive skin-friendly finish.

Where to use it
- Cleanroom corridors and pharmaceutical facilities

Frequently asked questions
Q: Is Lean CR the same grip as MK2 and MK3?
A: Yes — same 95 TRL dry / 60 TRL wet slip rating. The difference is thickness (0.028" vs 0.05") and flexibility, not slip performance.
Q: Why does the transparent color option matter?
A: Transparent Lean CR is often specified over decorative floors, printed graphics, or safety markings — the anti-slip surface protects the layer beneath without hiding it.
Q: Can I use Lean CR outdoors?
A: Yes, but its thinner body makes it more sensitive to rough substrates like broom-finish concrete. For heavy outdoor use or stair-nose channels, choose MK3 or TCR.
Q: Where does this tape ship from and how fast?
A: Ships within 24 hours from our USA warehouse.
Q: Is it pet friendly?
A: Yes — the non-abrasive surface is safe for pets to walk on regularly.
